Renovating and modernising a two-bedroom apartment can be an exciting project, but it's time-consuming and requires careful planning. The right people are absolutely key to executing to success and on budget.
This brief was to consider the functionality of each room and how to optimise the use of space whilst modernising and refreshing the entire place. We had to consider storage, floor levels (which were all different) and light which we achieved with new roof lights and lighter decor, incorporating a new modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and brass fixtures and hardware to give the apartment a contemporary look.
The lighting scheme played a crucial role in this project with the addition of LED lighting to save on energy costs and ensure that there was ample lighting in each room. We used an inexpensive hardwood style, luxury vinyl plank floor for a modern and durable feel. We also removed a tired carpet from the hallway revealing a stunning and original parquet block floor which we sanded and varnished to perfection.
We redecorated throughout with fresh paint transforming the space and added black, Crittal style bi-fold patio doors and metal finish industrial radiators. The whole effect was to give a bright and airy feel throughout the apartment and make a stylish and functional space that perfectly met the customer's brief. Another happy customer!
